A School Magazine

A School magazine is an annual journal of a school. It generally contains the literary works and other key information of a school. Every reputed school publishes a magazine annually. It is bought out under the patronage of an editorial board. A general meeting of the members is called and the board is formed to do the works smoothly. The members of the committee are chief patron, adviser, editor, assistant editor, business editor, proofreader, assistant proofreader, etc. The headmaster holds the post of chief patron and a senior teacher becomes the adviser. A magazine fund is also made up to meet up the expenses of its publication. The business editor collects money by selling space for advertisements.  Poems, stories, one act plays, essays etc are collected from the students by a member. Then after proper analysis, the best writings are selected for publishing. Teachers also contribute some valuable writings to it. There are messages from the headmaster, the secretary of the school and annual reports as well. A school magazine offers a useful forum to the promising students for displaying their literary talents. Furthermore, a student is encouraged to find his own writing in a printed form. This creates a sense of confidence in him/her. So every solvent school should take necessary initiatives to publish a magazine annually.
